Winding Down Our Trip

Well, after the New Year, we were in the home stretch of our vacation.

We would leave on the 5th for our trek across the water. However, there was a lot of activity and good down times to be had, so we relaxed up and prepped for the last few days.

We still had to keep Sage on his exercise regiment (actually, I need that as well, but that is another story), so we laid out the exercise mat (thanx Santa) and got to work.

First, he needed a bit of a pick me up and some high fiber drinks

Then we needed to get mentally ready (which took awhile)

Now we are cooking...or at least Sage is doing something to work those Superman stomach muscles... (then after about 2 minutes, we relaxed...that was hard work!)

Here, Sage has been put there to test his 'Gramma Magnet' ability. We quietly stepped out of the room and timed the expected response time.

Sure enough, in less than a minute, Gramma showed up, being naturally attracted by the powerful forces of cute grandkids.

Kisses are naturally in order

Here, Sage is explaining how much he loves Gramma

He is hamming it up a bit tho...

He also knows he has been spoiled the whole time (course that is what
Grammas and Grampas do best)

One day, Gramma and Grampa's neighbors stopped by (we had a lot of visits) and brought another cutie almost the same age. Sage was unsure of what he was looking at...

Well, hi! Oh, you are the other Gramma!

Bring out the pig puppet!

Ok, dad, I'll let him win a few....

Here was Movie Night, and after a bit of heated discussion (between the males and females of the group) we decided on a movie that casued the least amount of eye rolling (The Bourne Identity), which caused us to try a second: The Day of the Jackal - which was quite good.

Jo also bought and cooked the sausage bites you see there and they were darn good!

Here are some risque pictures of Dad and Sage taking a bath. Here is the part of Sage's body that Mom and Dad inexplicably love to hold....his smooth chubby foot..

Dad, you are going to delete this one and not put it on the blog, right?
Yes, son, don't worry....

Here Sage's Gramma and Grampa magnet abilities have worked again and they are set to be attracted....but it looks like Sage is following Grampa's arm there...

Hey! What are you all doing! I am right here! Come on, Gramma, look here!

Mom cracks a joke...

Alright, here we go...some good attention tme...

Hmmm, how do you do this?

Yeah! I got it!

Here, on our last night, we had a great dinner at the Dobbins (?) House, one of the oldest buildings in Gettysburg. We had a super meal even though we had to keep Sage occupied and walk with him a lot. I commented that this meal was the start of never eating with Jo simultaneaously since we would now need to take turns eating and watching him....

His new favorite activity is: now you see it..

...now you don't...

But we had a good time and a mellow rest of the evening, prepping for the trip back and spending some last minute QT with Gramma and Grampa.
