Happy New Year's Eve Snow

It is the eve of 2010 and we are still relaxing and enjoying the wintery scene in Gettysburg.

Supposedly, it does not snow often here (as opposed to Connecticut; where we were raised), but they got 22 inches right before we touched down here and we woke up today to have a beautiful snow scene with light snow falling all around.

Of course, I love it and Jo is enthralled as well (Sage could care less), but my parents and everyone else here is shocked a bit dismayed. To be honest, snow is quite beautiful for the first few hours or day, but then it does get a bit tedious to have to work, go to school or drive in. However, I got my wish for a (very) white Xmas holiday and we are enjoying it.

We took Sage out to feel his first snow and go sledding (sort of) and while dad and mom enjoyed it, Sage was, well, less than thrilled. I think part of the reason was that mom and dad bundled him up so much that he could not move anyway. You can get an idea from the pics....

Here we are on Santa's Sleigh! Ok, Grampa's sleigh....

You can tell Jo likes the snow, but Sage? Well.......

Dad is pulling them around on Grampa's large side yard.

Time for a family shot

Sage has not moved the whole time....

Grampa pushed me out of the way, since I was not 'doing it right.' So the Master took over...

Ho Ho Ho...

Ok, Sage, we are almost ready to go in....

Just one more Family shot in front of Gramma and Grampa's house (which has the same number as our house....). We then went in to rest and relax and all of us took wintery naps.

This morning, we woke up to this. It was really nice (and warm inside at least!)
That is a cardinal and a woodpecker.

A real Xmas holiday feeling shot...

Through the wreath...

Down by the river...

Snow plant...

Snow on trees...

Just a winter wonderland...
but someone has to clean it....
My first snowball in about 10 years! (Can't wait til Sage is old enough to throw some and we can have a good fight...)

Here is Sage's first Sledding experience....

Hope you are all enjoying your holidays as we are!
