I love being a dad.
Sure, I may change that statement at times in our lives, but even so, I love it. I am loving the time now and looking forward to doing all the Dad things with him later (especially gaming).
Can't wait!
Here are some recent pics of Sage and his Dad.

This is a blog about the adventures of Jeff, Jo, Sage and Mocha! (OK, I admit currently this is basically just a blog about Sage, but no one is complaining, so that is fine by us!)

Sage Meets Ah-Ma, Aunt Julia and Various Cousins
Jo, Sage and I went up to Taipei finally to show the Lil Guy to Jo's mom (Ah Ma is what Sage will call her), sister and various cousins. We had a good time Sage got off to a good first step with Jo's side of the family.
When we first got there, a small ceremony ensued and Sage was treated like a Little King and was gifted some special necklaces and gifts.

He didn't really know what was going on (nor did Daddy, really), but I explained to him that the 2 necklaces with bags contained money and that special golden spoon is a traditional gift to give a newborn child (especially boy). I had to tell him that it was real gold!

Now, it was time for the Passing of the Child, and Ah Ma and Aunt Julia (Jo's sister) each got a chance to hold him. We don't know why, but he immediately took a liking to Ah Ma and kept looking at her and smiling (which made Ah Ma very happy!).

Do you like Jo's new "I'm 15 Years Old" look?
Anyway, there will be plenty more visits North to see Sage's Taiwanese family.

Even Aunt Julia got a few smiles, as well!
Ya Wen had a knack for massaging Sage, so he immediately fell asleep.
After awhile, the pro had to step in and show them how to do it.....

A Vid of Sage at 9 Weeks
Here is a movie Jo and I made recently, mostly for the folks back in the States!
Enjoy!
This one is of Mom talking to a happy Sage....
A Day at the Park
We are trying to bring Sage out more, now that he can spit up by himself and make cute gurgling sounds while pooping; it adds to the whole adventure....
Anyway, we brought him to the Metropolitan Park last weekend (the weekend that was raining, but after my three blogs, it stopped and then we took off). Our plan was to just stay a little bit and head on home and get us used to lugging him around and him used to being lugged around.

Then we walked around the park for a bit while it was cool (after a shower is always nice) and then decided to take a seat and get some ice cream. Sorry Sage, no ice cream for you, yet. He tired to look cute, but we with held the goods.
But then Mom and Dad were hungry and instead of heading back towards home, we decided to go to a restaurant. We had lots to choose from, so we picked a Mexican one that sounded good. This was the first time we had brought Sage out in a 'confined' public space, so I was a little wary about what would happen, but he was a super dude and was quiet the whole time, absorbing the action.
Just hangin' out.
A little cold?
Like this?
We head out to Taipei tomorrow to see Jo's mom, sister and brother's family, so that will be a busy day as well! A lot of cheek kissing and strangers holding Sage and cooing and awwing....
Hope he - and us - are up for it!

Rainy Day Sunday - Funny Face Randoms
We were planning to take Sage out to our big park up on the hill - Metropolitan Park - but it started to rain and it looks like it will last awhile. So, since he is still sleeping, might as well add some recent random shots for you.
These are some ones we thought were funny...
