June Trip - Part 3 (The Volcano Cake!)

FINALLY!  Sage was waiting for about half a year to have his volcano cake that Gramma promised to make for him.  Every time it was mentioned leading up to the trip, he was excited and he occasionally asked about it at random times for many months.  So, here we are finally getting to the nitty gritty!

Thanx for Gramma making a great cake with Sage's help!

But first we need to make dino cookies - very important...

 "Ok, no problem!"
(this was and is a common phrase for Sage)

 Intent and focused

 The action begins

 A natural baker

 Pleased with his work!

Gramma helping find the best spaces

 Mmm, feels good, too

 Pat a cake...

 Clapping to himself

 Whazu doin, gramma?
(another common phrase)

 Looks like a pro

 Now the icing

 Getting ready for more decorations

 Pile it on!

These are the ones I made!

 Yeah!  'I' did it!

Oooo...drum roll please - now onto the volcano cake itself!

Making the lava - tricky business

 Don't bother me, I'm busy!

 A little taste test
(Dad needed a few spoonfuls to make sure it really was alright)

Mmmm, just look at that handiwork!

 Wow!

Some flavor for grass and dinos around the volcano

 Now we are ready!

 Happy 4th birthday, Sage!

 The volcano erupts...
...Sage is speechless

Yum - all the way through!

Dinos in lava make for a great snack

 Yum!

And in addition to the volcano cake, Gramma made Sage a set of 4 dino Babums to take home.  Yeah!
