Gardening Update

I am a novice and lazy grower, but nature does have a way of letting things blossom without too much hassle or fuss.

Here are some recent shots of my gardening adventures. You can compare by going back to the first update here.

In the right hand nook are my beans which sprouted literally within a few days of planting. Talk about Jack and the Beanstalk....

You can see Basil, Lavender, Beans, Tomatoes,Carrots, Leeks and a few other things that I am not even sure of myself...

These are my strawberries even though they look nothing like what I imagined...

Here are my self watering containers, containing Tomatoes and Basil (supposedly the ones that like sun and water the most)

Some recent shots

We have not really taken too many pics - more vids really - and between being busy and lazy, I have not been inspired to update for awhile. So here is a quick recap of the last few weeks.

We are getting ready to head back to the states to hopefully see the whole family - which will be great - and noisy - or should I say festive.... Anyway, we are really looking forward to having a big family meet up in the summer when we can actually go outside, get dirty and have fun (and not sweat too much, which is nice).

Sage is getting more agile and likes to climb - a lot - and he has added a few more vocalizations to his vocab to let us know what he wants, but mostly he just grabs me or pushes me or mom out of our comfy resting positions to prod us to go where he wants. He still loves to watch garbage trucks (he is watching a vid on Youtube as I type now) and birds and we take him out a lot just to walk around.

Potty training is a theory right now, although he does usually mention by hand signs that he has already peed or pooped; now just to work on timing..... It is getting to be summer, so that means a lot of different kinds of fruit for him to eat here, but his favorites are grapes (seedless), watermelon and Leechees. He must have Wendy's love of fruit or something....

Other than that, not much new to report. Classes are good and busy, although July is looking to be either super busy or super relaxing (depending on another trip abroad and/or summer work success or not), so we shall see.

Anyway, here are some pics that we have taken recently...

That focused look

very focused

ah, now a smile

the relaxin pose

He fell backwards just after this shot (and it was hilarious....bad daddy....I know)

After patting him and telling him how funny he looked....

He loves his bouncy pink ball

Mom and Sage relaxin...

A morning at the pool

Sages new shelf set up (since he climbed up on the previous second layer shelf and tipped it over onto himself - luckily just the books landed on him since the shelf was propped up - but it did scare everyone..). And he can still climb as he likes to look outside.

Busy bizzy

A Friend Came to Visit

A few weeks ago I set up a bird feeder to our window so that Sage could see some birds.

We got a little more than we expected when we looked out our window one day.

We thought she was just there for a second to feed...

But we realized that she was making a nest and within a few days, popped out 2 eggs. Talk about a nice set up for them.....and breakfast in bed....

So we waited

And out popped #1

As of this time, we are still waiting for #2. We try to replenish the feeder when the mother bird is out (very carefully). But Sage likes to watch the whole process.
